Donald Trump’s narcissistic collapse is underway

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The narcissistic collapse has begun. It seems like yesterday, we were talking about the inevitable collapse that was soon to come Trump’s way. It had to. This is because for the narcissist, when things are good they’re VERY good. But when they’re bad….

A narcissistic collapse is not the usual type of collapse. It’s sort of like the demolition of a massive skyscraper. It’s a long and messy collapse — very messy. And that’s what is happening with Trump. It’s arrived and claimed him. And Trump is currently losing his mind.

He’s gone from spitting fireballs of anger to — begging. And pleading. And he sounds desperate. Donald Trump has turned into Mr. Desperado. He is freaking out on Truth Social. And he’s calling for the Senate to save his ass. The SENATE!

What on earth could they do? That doesn’t seem to matter to trump. He just wants them to do something. So, as Trump winds his way toward, yet another indictment, yes he is demanding the Senate do more — that they deliver him from Justice. That they help him.

But there isn’t anything the Senate can do. Nor could the House help him. Nobody in Congress could help him. And his collapse will continue because it has to. And it will get worse. At one time, there was a way for Donald Trump to have emerged unscathed (and unindicted.)

Let’s take a look at that one way. END OF PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2020:

“Hey Trump you lost. I’m so sorry.”

“Oh, that’s OK. I’m disappointed but I’m a mature adult. I’ll live. Let me make a concession speech and congratulate Joe Biden.”

See how easy that would have been? See how much tragedy could have been averted? Now he’s stuck. He’s found himself in a situation that he can’t get out of. He’s found a situation where there are no happy endings — just more of the same.
