Donald Trump’s narcissism strikes again

There are oceans between the truth and fake news. And the Trump administration seems determined that fake news be the island that ALL journalists must land on. The AP (Associated Press) has been banned indefinitely from access to Trump and the White House. This is because they refer to the Gulf of Mexico as — the Gulf of Mexico.
But Donald Trump INSISTS that all journalists refer to it as the Gulf of AMERICA — and since the AP will not do that, they have lost access to the orange mush-machine, for now.
“Punishment.”
AP executive Editor Julie Pace referred to what the trump klan is doing as “punishment” for free-thinking, independent journalism.
She also said that by engaging in such behavior, the Trump team is impeding “the public’s access to independent news” and that such behavior violates the First Amendment.
Well said. But violating the First Amendment, a little thing like that, wouldn’t make the trump administration pause or even think twice.
These are people who do not recognize ANY law as a rightful law — unless, of course, it’s a non-law coming out of the garbled mouth of one Donald John Trump.
Other journalists also appear outraged. However, at least as of the time of this writing, AP is not at all backing down, still referring to it as the Gulf of Mexico, which this writer agrees with, and despite Trump’s press secretary Karoline Leavitt saying the Gulf of Mexico is a “lie,” many of us will continue to refer to it by its rightful name, The Gulf of Mexico.
It is a pity that the only voice that Donald Trump can hear is his own. Tis a shame because he is making a bloody fool of himself. But this behavior is the hallmark of any narcissist.
All narcissists are at the mercy of the claws of the wildcats that forever scratch at their egos, always seeking attention, endless attention even though no matter how much they get, it can never be enough to fill their always-covetous selves.
