Donald Trump’s mental state is getting progressively worse

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

As Donald Trump’s numbers and mental state are getting progressively worse, we are seeing some media actually do their due diligence when it comes to fact checking him. As Michigan is a crucial state for the former guy to win, he’s been directing a lot of his more preposterous promises to Detroit’s auto industry. The problem there is that the manufacturing boom he promised in 2016 actually happened under President Biden.

Even worse, as Palmer Report reported in the past, the manufacturing sector actually fell into recession under Trump BEFORE the COVID pandemic. According to a recent report by Detroit News, the number of vehicle and parts manufacturing jobs fell by 2.2% in Michigan between January 2017 (when Trump took office) and February 2020 (one month before the state had its first case of COVID.)

This happened as plants closed, while the prices of vehicles ticked up – a price issue that Donald Trump never even tried to fix during his four years as president, regardless of what he’s saying Kamala Harris is capable of doing right now. It gets even worse as Trump’s tariffs would bring the American auto industry to the brink, and the article is devastating in the sense that it cites his own supporters that are doubtful of whether he can revive Detroit to where it was in the 1960s, one of the staple promises of his 2024 candidacy. No matter what happens, things will come down to the wire in Michigan – both in who wins the state and who wins the Senate seat – so do what you can to support Kamala Harris and Democrat Elissa Slotkin so they both win on Nov 5.
