Donald Trump’s letter

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

An attorney’s life is never easy. Always, they have the stuff to do, clients to handle, and, for some, indictments to hand out. A lawyer’s work is never done. And sometimes, these attorneys have letters to write.

Many attorneys sign their letters:”Very truly yours.” That has often amused me. Attorneys are such polite beings! Writing “Very truly yours” even when they’re about to pounce. But always polite and formal to the end.

Even, when the letter in question is a poison pill. Oh yes, some of these letters certainly do not bear GOOD news. Some contain calamity for the person on the receiving end of such a letter. For example — a target letter.

And such a letter has been sent to Donald John Trump’s attorneys. It is the ultimate poisonous letter, the worst type of letter that a client’s lawyers can receive. That means there isn’t anything left to fight. Their client is not a witness nor a subject — they are a target. They are THE target.

Donald Trump is one such target. How do YOU think he’s feeling tonight? The die has been cast. The poisonous letter has been penned. It’s landed on the desks of those tasked with defending him.

And now we wait. Who knows, readers. Perhaps when you wake up in the morning, he’ll have been charged. Or perhaps it will play out over a few extra minutes or days. It doesn’t matter. Donald Trump KNOWS. Don’t believe his anguished denials. He knows what is about to happen.

Of course, most human beings never receive such a poisonous letter as this. Most people, however, are not Donald Trump. Most people do not commit espionage. Most people know better. Most people love their countries. But for the hapless few, who DO receive this so very poisonous letter, their lives are irrevocably changed forevermore.
