Donald Trump’s legal team melts down

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It’s difficult to figure out what attorneys are representing Donald Trump in what capacities these days, given that he now has criminal defense attorneys who claim they’re “in talks” with the DOJ (whatever that means), and then he has attorneys who go on TV and spew the kind of aggressive gibberish that Trump likes to hear coming out of his TV.

In any case, Trump’s legal team is not exactly giving off its best look right now. One of Trump’s attorneys appeared on an obscure cable news channel and couldn’t figure out whether she wanted to accuse the DOJ of planting evidence against Trump, or whether she wanted to accuse the DOJ of having… falsified the entire thing? Watch for yourself, if you must:

So this is where we’re at now. Did the DOJ show up at Mar-a-Lago and plant boxes of classified information so it could seize it? Did the DOJ falsely claim to have taken boxes out of Mar-a-Lago? Was the whole thing filmed on the soundstage where they faked the moon landing? This is all so deep into lunatic conspiracy theory territory, it doesn’t even come close to a reasonable doubt defense. It’s just frantic nonsense, aimed at making Trump believe they somehow have control of the situation when they clearly do not.
