Donald Trump’s legal team implodes in wake of unsealed indictment

The cool blue waters are starting to lose their tranquility and are descending into a tidal wave of bad news for Donald Trump. When one is out on the water, and a storm begins to close in, most people reach for land.

This does not appear to be happening for Donald Trump. On the contrary, he is deep at sea, marooned, unable to claw his way out of the storm. Two of Trump’s attorneys have resigned. Jim Trusty is one. John Rowley is another. In their statements, they said it was “an honor” to have worked with Trump. Right.

This does beg the question: why do so many lawyers quit the Trump team? This is hardly the first time this has happened. There seem to be two fates for Trump’s lawyers. Most either quit or wind up getting in trouble themselves. There is a pattern here.

Trump will now be represented by attorney Todd Blanche, who is also representing Trump in the hush money payments case. We’ll see how long he lasts. Trump is in more trouble than he’s ever been before. He has a 37-count federal indictment against him.

You’d think he’d be fighting for his freedom. You’d think he’d try to land his ship on land rather than letting it drift further out to sea. Alas, it does not appear Trump is heeding the words of anyone telling him to be quiet. Trump is still in attack mode, still hitting out at his prosecutors, not understanding he has no chance against the tidal wave enveloping him.
