Donald Trump’s late night legal panic move gives away just how scared he is of where this is going
Late last night Donald Trump made an emergency appeal to a judge’s ruling that hadn’t even been handed down yet. Sometime around midnight, the judge told him to buzz off. Trump really is that panicked about his downfall, and the legal system is laughing at him on his way down.
The legal case in question is Trump’s last ditch attempt at delaying the January 6th Committee from receiving evidence regarding his actions in relation to the January 6th attack. The National Archives is set to turn over that evidence to the committee this Friday, unless the courts order it not to.
So it’s notable that Trump is panicking so badly over these January 6th documents. He’s giving away that he knows this evidence incriminates him, in the court of public opinion and potentially in the eyes of the law. Trump knows time is running out. It’s why he has his lawyers making nonsensical emergency filings in the middle of the night that are leaving judges rolling their eyes.
