Donald Trump’s last stand
If anybody knows Donald Trump, it’s his niece Mary Trump. Mary Trump is the direct opposite of the Donald. Where he is stupid, she is brilliant. Where he is cruel, she radiates reassuring kindness. Mary appeared on “The Katie Phang show” on MSNBC. And she offered some analysis on the crazed insurrectionist.
Mary said that the reason Trump’s rhetoric has become increasingly savage and darker is that he’s cornered. Everybody is leaving him, so Trump’s dark side is becoming darker — even more perverse than usual. And Mary said he is now “digging deeper into inciting violence.”
Mary explained that seeing former allies flee his sinking ship has “pushed him over the edge.”
“The window of opportunity for Donald to squirm out of this is closing,” Mary said, “because of the seriousness of the charges that are coming his way. And what have we seen in the past? He goes to violence.”
“When he said that President Biden was calling for violence, he was, as usual, projecting. That was what Donald’s going to be calling for as he gets more and more cornered.”
Cornered like a rat. He’s cornered alright, and now the rat has found there is no way out of the maze. Mary Trump’s analysis has proved so deeply valuable, and I wholeheartedly agree with this analysis too. Trump is cornered, and he knows it. And so he is raising hell as his whole life falls apart before him.
Trump has virtually no self-esteem. Contrary to what many an admiring Maga believes, Trump is not confident — he hates himself with a passion and a fury that he might not — probably does not — even recognize.
But now, the hatred is extended outward. Trump will likely further escalate in the coming weeks. It is his last hurrah. It is the sociopath’s last stand.
It will do nothing for him, and as his fury continues and the rat frantically tries to flee the maze, at some point, he will consciously realize there is just no way out. No way out for Donald Trump — finally.
