Donald Trump’s Iowa speech falls flat

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump visited Iowa on Monday, and nobody cared. The orange dorito made a fiery speech where he suggested parents of transgender people be arrested. Nobody cares. He says he wants to eradicate “transgender insanity.” Nobody cares.

He has also stepped up his attacks on charismaless Ron DeSantis, saying the Florida governor reminded him of Mitt Romney. Nobody cares. The fact is few covered the insurrectionist’s speech. Trump may as well have been invisible — and to many, he was.

There are also whispers that Trump is “terrified” of DeSantis and that republicans are more fed up with Trump than ever. Alas, the cheese that is Donald Trump is truly standing alone these days.

Trump also has been talking a lot these days about critical race theory, saying he will ban it in schools (most of which do not teach it anyway.) But one can see, observing, that he has a lot on his mind. Who knew all those years ago what chaos would result from the traitor’s association with Stormy Daniels?

So I imagine he is waiting in dread and that his thoughts are stormy. After all — an indictment could come storming down at any moment. Would it not be hilarious if Trump really were indicted on the Ides of March?

In the meantime, everybody around him is awaiting the news as well. Right now, it’s the calm before the storm. But when the storm hits — oh boy, will it be a big one.
