Donald Trump’s idiocy is out of control
Donald Trump is either declining cognitively, he’s playing games for his fans, or he really is stupid. Trump has been blaming his prosecutions on Joe Biden. Unlike Trump, President Biden stays out the DOJ’s way and allows them to do their job. Besides, contrary to what Trump thinks, President Biden could care less about Donald Trump. Trump claims that Joe Biden waited to start prosecutions because he is running for president.
According to Donald Trump, President Biden could have prosecuted him three years ago instead of waiting until he was running for president again. Let’s look at that ridiculous statement. Three years ago, President Biden was not in office, Trump was. Obviously, he would have never prosecuted himself. Indeed, he spent much of the time lying about his wrongdoings, about Covid, and about anything that he thought made him look better. Many of the crimes with which he has been charged happened after the election and change in power, and it took time to make thorough investigations.
When Trump departed the White House in 2021, he took classified documents with him. NARA asked for them back, and he lied and tried to hide them. That is the crux of his prosecution and not the fact that he took them. It wasn’t even referred to the DOJ until 2022, and it was referred by NARA, not President Biden. Thus, he could not be prosecuted for something that had not yet happened.
The New York hush money case is a state action, and President Biden nor the DOJ have anything to do with that case. That case dates to before Trump even became president, and at the time, he had been accused by several women of inappropriate behavior. While the DOJ did investigate the issue, they opted not to charge Trump, even though he had left office and was no longer the sitting president.
The remaining two cases against Trump stem from his 2020 attempts to overturn the election. He could not have been charged three years earlier because none of this had happened. He was charged as soon as enough evidence was assembled. Fani Willis investigated for months, as did Jack Smith. Even though the FBI had been looking at the January 6 insurrection, Merrick Garland had not yet even been officially appointed. Again, Trump could not be charged for something that had not yet happened.
All these agencies took their time to ensure they had enough evidence. It had nothing to do with President Biden, AG Garland, or anyone else now in power. Trump brought all this upon himself, and he wants back into the White House so badly he can taste it. We all know why Trump is running for president again. He loves the power, he made a ton of money, and if he’s president, all these investigations and prosecutions will magically disappear. At the very least, he can pardon himself. Donald Trump does not want to be president to help anyone other than himself. He cares about no one, including his own son who he threw under the bus in his fraud trial.
