Donald Trump’s hostages
How would you describe a coral reef? Perhaps like the following? Coral reefs are “bright and colorful ecosystems,” tranquil havens that provide food and shelter for fish, turtles, and many more of our sea friends. Now, what would you think if I described Coral reefs like the following: Colorless, useless things in the sea that have no value. Well, that would obviously be wrong! I say this because false descriptions can sometimes lead to trouble. False descriptions are easily found and called out. Especially as they relate to criminals.
You see, some criminals are just that — criminals. What they are NOT is hostages. And Judge Tanya Chutkan KNOWS this — which is why on Wednesday she rejected the Trump team’s label of the January sixth terrorists as “hostages.”
Looking visibly annoyed, Judge Chutkan said the American terrorists do not deserve to be called hostages. “They’re being kept there because they are dangerous people,” the Judge said sanely.
Chutkan actually reportedly ROLLED HER EYES when she heard that gatherings for the J-6TH terrorists were being referred to as “Freedom corner.” You read that right. “Is THAT what it’s called” an incredulous Chutkan asked.
This all happened, by the way, because a J-6th defendant was being sentenced. Chutkan gave him almost a year in prison. Anyone who breaks into the Capitol, hunts down human beings, and calls for violence and mayhem is a TERRORIST. That is all they should be called, and it is all that they are.
