Donald Trump’s gag order hearing is a disaster for him already
We’ve been waiting a week for Donald Trump’s gag order violation hearing to finally take place, but now that it’s underway, it’s a doozy. The prosecution has laid out ten violations. Then Trump’s defense attorney proceeded to dig himself a huge hole.
Trump’s attorney kept making one ludicrous argument after another, all of which went nowhere. Then he began arguing that Trump is being treated unfairly, and that there is a two tiered system of justice against Trump.
Then the judge began to get really annoyed at the attorney, asking if he was accusing the judge being unfair. At that point, the attorney then tried to claim that he was merely representing Trump’s position that the judge is unfair. Suffice to say the judge was less than amused at anything, Trump’s attorney had to say.
The judge ultimately said that he’ll be making a ruling on the gag violations sometime after this hearing. But this hearing went horribly for Donald Trump. our best guess is that the judge will hit Trump with precisely the defines that the prosecutor wants for the existing violations, and that the judge will inform Trump that his next violations will result in jail time.
