Donald Trump’s downfall is getting painful for the Republicans

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is acting out again, posting on Truth Social, manically saying that the people of America will not stand for the “weaponizing” of the Justice Department. I think Trump got it wrong. I think most people will stand up and clap wildly once he’s escorted to prison. But I suppose Truth Social really is all the man has.

But it seems Trump’s lunacy is rubbing off on other Republicans, particularly Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming, because Barrasso made an utter fool of himself on television. Appearing on ABC with George Stephanopoulos, Barrasso appeared terrified to say a word against Donald Trump.

Of course, the million-dollar question came up. What did he think of declassifying documents with one’s mind? That seems to be all anybody’s talking about. You’d think THAT would be an easy one, right? Well — not for Barrasso, who appeared to let the cat get hold of his tongue.

George cane right out and clearly asked the question — did Barrasso agree it was possible to declassify documents with one’s mind? “I don’t know anything about the rules for when a president declassifies documents,” Barrasso answered muttered.

So is Barrasso saying then that this might be possible? That’s what it sounds like to me. Is he SO afraid of Trump that he will willingly sign on to the former President and current insurrectionist having psychic powers? Evidently, this answer stunned Stephanopoulos as well.

“Senator!” he exclaimed. “It’s become political,” Barrasso whined. “You know that a President can’t declassify documents by thinking about it,” the ABC host said icily. “Why can’t you just say so?”

Stand up and take a bow, George. This is exactly the way EVERY Republican must be questioned. To the point and emphatic — no bullshit allowed. FINALLY, Barrasso admitted that Trump likely is not psychic. But the process seemed painful for him. It seemed excruciating, honestly. If it is that hard for a Republican to swear off Trump telekinesis, they’re even loonier than we thought.
