Donald Trump’s disastrous press conference just got even worse for him
Donald Trump held one of the most embarrassing and counterproductive press conferences in American political history today when he spent an hour whining incoherently and insisting he’s somehow more popular than ever. It was almost straitjacket level bonkers, and the backlash is already coming in swiftly. But now the whole thing has gotten even worse for him.
At one point during his rambling diatribe today, Trump claimed that he once shared a helicopter ride with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, and that he gave Trump all kinds of unspecified dirt on Kamala Harris. But now Willie Brown is saying that no such helicopter ride ever happened.
That’s right, as Donald Trump’s dementia symptoms and other mental and cognitive problems continue to get worse, he’s now hallucinating about a helicopter ride that never happened. That’s not surprising, given that Trump is also hallucinating about the crowd sizes he’s been seeing at his rallies, hallucinating about what direction the polls are going in, and hallucinating about his base now making up “seventy-five percent” of the country. At this point Trump’s failing mind appears to be making up one fantasy after another in order to comfort him on his way down.
