Donald Trump’s delusional denouement

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump likes to think he knows a lot. I am smart, he regularly yells, though most of the world knows he is in fact stupid. And what happened on Monday certainly shows us that Trump is certainly not playing with a full deck. In a court of law, there are options. That’s often why many trials take so long.

There are constant, motions filed, constant decisions being made by judges. The American justice system is the best system, but it can be frightfully difficult and challenging. And sometimes things do go very slowly.

But the courts frown on certain things. There are some things that nobody actually does, although I do not think Donnie is aware of that. I say all this because Trump is vowing to do the impossible, challenge something that he can’t.

Trump is shooting his mouth off saying that he’s going to challenge the 2024 trial date that Judge Chutkan decided on. There appears to be something Trump is not familiar with. That is that you can’t challenge a court date.

Let me take that back. You can certainly ask for another court date, but the fact is this is not been done. The judge gets the final word on the court date. I’m not sure whom Trump wants to challenge this to, but as usual he has the wrong information

People who are going to criminal trial do not get to randomly choose their own prison dates. Trump can’t look at, say April 29 of 2026, and say: I want that one! That’s not how it works.

It is mind boggling to me how little this man knows about how the country works. I mean he was a president for four years though he was a fake president. You would assume he’d have some idea about something.

I’ve yet to see one good idea from him. Perhaps it’s because he doesn’t read, perhaps it’s because he was just born like this, but if Trump thinks he can strut into a court room and say: Hey Judge, I’d like to protest this. I don’t want this court date. Can we move it to 2035?

The strange thing is I could see him doing this but the bottom line is this date will hold. Trump is going to trial. He’s going to trial before the 2024 election and it is driving him out of his mind.
