Donald Trump’s defense witness has mishap on witness stand
Donald Trump’s New York civil fraud trial isn’t getting as much attention right now because the prosecution has finished presenting its case, the Trumps have all testified. All that’s left is a defense presentation that everyone knows won’t help Trump any. But it turns out that defense presentation is even more of a joke than one might have been expecting.
We already saw one defense witness testify last month who appeared to incriminate Donald Trump, not exonerate him. Other witnesses have been exposed as not even being experts in their field. And now one Trump defense witness has taken a call from his dad while on the stand. No really, this happened.
So at this point Donald Trump is putting witnesses on the stand who are supposed to be helping his case, but are instead failing to turn their phone off while on the stand, and are then answering it instead of sending it to voicemail. It’s the latest sign that Trump, as his cognitive decline worsens, is well past the point of understanding how to put together a serious defense. Trump’s entire remaining team is a joke at this point, and the ineptness starts at the top.
