Donald Trump’s dark triad

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The dark triad at the center of Donald Trump’s inner core has exploded once again, and this time, it’s aiming its venom at Mitch McConnell. On Wednesday, the prince of darkness struck out at McConnell, calling him a “pawn for the Democrats.” Is he? That’s news to me. Moscow Mitch has done nothing but obstructs us at every corner.

But Trump was not done. He also called for the immediate firing of the turtle and ordered he be replaced. This all started with McConnell’s remarks about candidate quality and wining the Senate in November. Obviously, Trump took those comments extremely personally.

But Trump is now firmly showing his thoughts on Mitch. And he seems to view the Senator with nothing but pure contempt:

“Mitch McConnell is not an opposition leader.”

“He is a pawn for the Democrats to get whatever they want,” the failure roared on Truth Social.

“A new Republican leader in the Senate should be picked immediately.”

Trump has also referred to Mitch as a “broken down hack.”

So there is trouble brewing between these two. And that is good news for us. Why? Because every Republican will have to choose a side, including those running for Senate. Do they support Moscow Mitch? Or would someone else be a better choice to be minority leader?

I do not envy Republicans this choice. Speak up against an enraged psychopath who is likely foaming at the mouth at the thought of tearing down any perceived enemies that cross his path? Or turn on McConnell, who most Republican senators are quite happy with?

This is, of course, happening because Trump took Mitch’s words as an insult against HIM. This is what people who are Machiavellian, psychotic and narcissistic do. Trump isn’t dangerous, but many Republicans are TERRIFIED of him and tremble in their boots whenever they think of the dark forces at work in the man and that those forces could possibly be aimed at THEM.
