Donald Trump’s criminal scandal in Michigan just got even uglier for him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump has been criminally charged under state law in New York and Georgia. He appears to be under criminal investigation in Arizona and perhaps Nevada. We keep waiting to see whether he’s going to face criminal charges in Michigan. Let’s just say that the evidence there just got even uglier.

Michigan has already criminally charged its fake electors. And last month a recording surfaced in which Trump and RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel illegally tried to pressure local officials into overthrowing the election. Now the Detroit News says that the Trump campaign directly orchestrated the fake elector certificate. This is a big deal for a few reasons.

First, former Trump henchman Kenneth Chesebro was at the center of this fraudulent Michigan filing. He’s already cut a formal cooperation deal with Georgia prosecutors, and has reportedly been offering full cooperation to various other prosecutors in an attempt at not getting charged there. So whatever Chesebro knows about this fake elector certificate, Michigan prosecutors either have his testimony about it or they’re about to.

This matters because, as we keep seeing with the mounting criminal cases against Donald Trump, the key to taking down a crime boss is to flip the top lieutenants. Michael Cohen’s testimony is taking Trump down in New York. The testimony of Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis, and Kenneth Chesebro is going to take Trump down in Georgia. And now it looks like Chesebro may be helping to take Trump down in Michigan as well.
