Donald Trump’s criminal referral

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The media is back to overhyping the non-story about whether the 1/6 committee will make a criminal referral. Given that referrals are meant to alert the DOJ of a potential crime, and the DOJ has already said it’s watching the hearings and has sought transcripts, it’s a non-issue.

Given how busy of a news week it’s been, you’d think the media wouldn’t fall back on this trope. But now that the average viewer can see Trump is likely going to be indicted, the media is using the scare tactic of falsely implying that Trump will go free if there’s no referral. As always, your job is not to fall for this kind of ratings-driven doomsday hysteria.
