Donald Trump’s Black voter outreach event just flopped

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The media keeps latching onto a handful of stray polls which almost hilariously claim that Donald Trump is suddenly popular with Black voters. Trump lost humiliatingly with Black voters in 2016 and 2020, and nothing has changed since then, so of course he’s still doing poorly with them. Yet the media is still milking the “Trump is going to win in 2024 because of Black voters” narrative for all the scariness that it’s worth.

The funny part is, Trump and his campaign seem to be taking the media’s bait. Weeks ago Trump tried holding a rally in the Bronx, but it was poorly attended and most of the faces were white, even though the Bronx is mostly nonwhite. Trump and his campaign clearly didn’t learn their lesson, because now they’re trying again – and it’s flopping again:

This is just getting embarrassing. Donald Trump, whose health appears to have collapsed, clearly isn’t capable of holding more than a limited number of campaign events. Yet he’s spending his limited time chasing Black voters, who have already twice made clear that they’re not voting for him.
