Donald Trump’s big Roger Stone panic move

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The last time Donald Trump relied on Roger Stone’s “help” it landed the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys leadership in prison and helped put Trump on a path to eventual criminal indictment. Since that time, best anyone can tell, Trump has kept Stone at arm’s length. But now Trump reportedly invited Stone onto his private plane on Friday. The timing of this is interesting, to put it mildly.

We’ve now reached the point in Jack Smith’s 1/6 criminal probe where people are cooperating against Donald Trump in an attempt at saving their own hides. Rudy Giuliani recently did a proffer interview with the DOJ. One of Trump’s key 2020 campaign officials recently did the same. Alex Jones’ sidekick Owen Shroyer, who was at the Willard Hotel with the likes of Roger Stone on January 5th, recently cut a cooperating plea deal.

With all of this playing out over the past week or two, Donald Trump has got to be worrying about whether someone like Roger Stone is going to end up selfishly flipping on him. And now Trump is suddenly jetting around with Stone again. It’s not difficult to imagine that Trump may be trying to find a way to convince Stone not to flip on him. After all, if Giuliani just did a proffer session and gave up Trump, why wouldn’t Trump be worried that Stone is next?

But when you long ago decided to push your dangerous “friend” away because of the trouble he kept getting you into, and you’re now suddenly trying to rekindle that relationship for fear your “friend” might feel alienated enough to take you down entirely, that has to be viewed as a panic move. Donald Trump sees more and more people flipping on him and has to be worried that Roger Stone could well be next.
