Donald Trump’s battery is running out

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Whenever I see Donald Trump, waving his little hands around, I get sick to my stomach-literally. I cannot handle the thought of this man possibly returning to the White House to wreak additional havoc on this country and its people. The media constantly reports on polls, showing Trump in the lead. Of course, I don’t put a lot of stock in polls, but they still niggle at the back of my mind. Recently, I have at least found some things to laugh about: reports on Trump’s insanity and George Conway.

Trump held a rally in Las Vegas last week, where the temperature reached 105 degrees. It must have scrambled his brain. He talked about sharks and the fact that motorboats have powerful electric batteries. Funny, the media doesn’t try to portray Trump as senile as they do with President Biden. The media constantly shows sound bites from President Biden making mistakes, trying to insinuate that he has aging issues or problems. Obviously, they’re not attending Trump’s speeches. He doesn’t make gaffes; he just makes things up like he has an invisible friend.

The Atlantic fixated on his last appearance as well. Tom Nichols, the author of this piece, said: “For too long, Trump has gotten away with pretending that his emotional issues are just part of some offbeat New York charm … But Trump is obviously unfit.” Nichols went on to discuss Trump’s talk about sharks and how must people “shrug, as if to say, another day, another Trump rant about sharks.” It turns out that Trump is ultimately referring to electric vehicles, but he can’t just come out and say that like a normal person. Instead, he said he prefers electrocution to shark bites. This leads us to George Conway.

HuffPost mentioned Conway’s discussion of “exactly when, where and why support for Trump” will take a nosedive. Conway believes that the trial took the attention away from Trump, silencing his campaign trail rants. Seeing less of Trump made people temporarily forget that he’s anything but the stable genius he claims to be. Someone reposted Conway’s post on X, where he said: “One of the advantages that Trump has had is we’ve seen less of him. One of the reasons I think the race seems closer than it will ultimately be is that people have forgotten about Trump. They’ve forgotten the reasons they didn’t like him.” In Conway’s mind, once he reappeared that changed. “It’s like the more you see of him, the more you say, ‘What’s wrong with him?’ And he’s much, much sicker than he was in 2020 and certainly than in 2016.”

In his own sarcastic way, Conway is saying that when people who haven’t decided for whom they’re voting see Trump, it’s an instant turnoff. Because of this, Conway thinks the trials are a good thing for Trump because they keep him out of the public eye, stopping him from ranting nonsense. We’ll see him live in the first debate on June 27. Let’s see if Trump knows how to debate or whether he will once again talk about sharks.
