Donald Trump’s babysitters hit the panic button over President Elon Musk

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Over the past few days Elon Musk has been asserting a presidential level of pressure on the Republican House, in an effort to either force a shutdown or force significant cuts to essential programs. Musk’s incoherent effort this week has been roughly as incoherent as everything else he’s done of late. It’s made a mess – and not just for Musk.

Yesterday Palmer Report pointed out just how remarkable it was that Donald Trump was just sitting there at home, saying and doing nothing, while Musk masqueraded as President-elect in such inept fashion. Not only was Musk’s mess going to land in Trump’s lap, Musk’s antics in the face of Trump’s disappearing act was going to make Trump look like he’s finished already. For Trump to not be bothering to intervene, he must be fully senile.

Sure enough, even as Musk’s antics continued in Congress today and Trump continued to remain in hiding, Trump’s babysitters started to panic. CNN, which apparently still has sources even though it has no viewers, reported that Trump’s babysitters were frantically calling House Republicans and insisting that Musk’s antics were at Trump’s instruction.

In other words, Trump’s babysitters are starting to worry that Trump’s ongoing disappearing act, even as Trump associates like Elon Musk run around like idiots in his place, the public is going to figure out that Trump is indeed a goner.
