Donald Trump’s attorneys hit the panic button over his self defeating trial behavior

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

If there’s one way to accurately sum up the totality of Donald Trump’s behavior these days, it’s this: self-defeating. Trump keeps doing one thing after another to harm himself, whether it’s his senile public appearances or his self-harming social media posts about his legal troubles.

Now that Trump is going on trial, his self-defeating nature is bound to make things even worse for him. As a criminal defendant on trial, he has a significantly reduced set of rights. But Trump doesn’t seem to understand such things, and will instead surely try to treat the trial like a reality show.

To that end, Trump’s own attorneys are letting it be known that they’re going to try to keep Trump from speaking to reporters on his way in and out of the courtroom, due to fears he’ll end up running afoul of the court system with his mouth.

This all speaks to just how stunningly senile Donald Trump has become. He’s so far gone, his own people are trying desperately to keep him away from a microphone as much as possible. Every time Trump so much as speaks these days, he further harms his own collapsing prospects.
