Donald Trump’s alleged syphilis scandal just got even uglier for him

This week Donald Trump appeared in public with large red sores on his hand. These symptoms can be explained by a number of medical conditions, and we don’t know what’s actually wrong with him. But various people on social media have pointed out that one potential explanation for such symptoms is syphilis.

The “Trump syphilis” buzz has snowballed to the point that Jimmy Kimmel listed off the symptoms of syphilis and then provided video clips of Trump displaying each of those symptoms, including confusion, mania, sensitivity to light, and more:

This still doesn’t mean Donald Trump has syphilis. We don’t know what’s wrong with his hand, partly because he keeps trotting out doctors who claim he’s in perfect health even as his health visibly declines. But as long as Trump keeps pretending he’s in perfect health, people like Jimmy Kimmel are going to keep asking questions about what’s really wrong with him.
