Donald Trump you lost!

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

How many times do you have to tell someone “you lost” before they get it? For a normal person, the first time would have been sufficient. For Donald Trump, who is anything but normal, it apparently takes multiple times. For one with such a large ego, you might think he would tire of hearing those two words, but he continues his quest according to Newsweek.

Maricopa County not only found that Trump lost that county but lost bigger than originally thought, yet he is now calling for an audit in Pima County. He gives real meaning to the saying, “that’s my story, and I’m sticking with it.” There has been no evidence of fraud in any states, yet Trump continues to claim the election was “stolen.” In the case of Pima County, he claims there were “fictitious” votes. Do “fictitious votes” refer to uncast, added votes or were votes cast by fictitious characters, like Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam? No one knows, as all this fiction is just something that lives in Trump’s head. Trump issued one of his classic statements filled with strangely capitalized words: “A new analysis of mail-in ballots in Pima County, Arizona means the election was Rigged and Stolen from the Republican Party in 2020, and in particular, its Presidential Candidate.” The man’s statements alone reveal his state of mind, and his continued insistence that he won the 2020 presidential election is the punctuation mark. The man is nuts, and Pima County taxpayers need to speak up before their money is wasted.

Forbes reported that the Maricopa County audit cost $5.7 million dollars, which was, of course, passed along to taxpayers. The same will happen in Pima if an unnecessary audit is allowed. The taxpayers of these counties deserve to have their money spent on things that will benefit them not on audits that will not change the results of an election that happened almost one year ago. In this instance, however, Trump does not merely want an audit; he wants a “do-over.” He added: “a new Election should immediately take place or the past Election should be decertified and the Republican candidate declared the winner.” In your dreams, Trump. He comes up with the most ridiculous ideas that he thinks will get him back into the White House. Likely, his businesses are really hurting without the padding he set up for himself while in office. He needs to find another, legitimate means of making money because he is not getting back into the White House on these fictional claims.

Pima County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry said to NBC News that Pima’s election was “free, fair, secure, and accurate,” and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey — who is a Republican — said he has no intention of decertifying the election, Newsweek reported. He further said that Arizona has had three audits, and “it’s now over.” Someone needs to put a muzzle on Trump. Republicans for Voting Rights has erected 36 billboards in nine states, trying to get Trump to take a hint: “Trump lost. No more ‘audits.’” It is too bad Trump cannot get that through his thick skull.
