Donald Trump throws bonkers tantrum as Feds close in on him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

In response to Donald Trump’s request for a special master in the DOJ criminal case against him, the DOJ made a filing on Monday which revealed that it’s already finished sorting the evidence it seized from his home. This is obviously bad news for Trump, and he’s throwing a bonkers tantrum, as he often does these days. But this tantrum might be particularly noteworthy.

Trump is now demanding a “do-over” of the 2020 election. No really, this is what he’s demanding. In August of 2022. He’s that hopelessly lost in the past. There obviously will not be any “do-over” election. But with Trump now demanding this, he’s distracting and discouraging his supporters from bothering to get involved in the 2022 midterm election.

This creates a real midterm opportunity for the Democrats, and for those of you who want the Democrats to win. These midterms were historically supposed to be a cakewalk for the Republicans, because they’re the party who’s not in power. But the Democrats have made great strides, even as the Republican Party and the Republican Supreme Court keep blowing things.

And now Trump is telling his supporters they should care more about an imaginary 2020 do-over election than a real 2022 midterm election. If you want the Democrats to win the midterms, and you’ve been thinking about getting involved in the most competitive midterm races, now is the time for you to do it.
