Donald Trump throws a hissy fit after closing arguments go horribly for him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When the prosecution spends the trial building an astonishingly comprehensive case, and the defense spends the trial getting nowhere, the defense then needs to hit a grand slam during closing arguments. Unfortunately for Donald Trump, his defense team meekly limped through a closing argument that didn’t move the needle at all.

Now Trump is throwing a fit on social media, posting this: “THE GREATEST CASE I’VE EVER SEEN FOR RELIANCE ON COUNSEL, AND JUDGE MERCHAN WILL NOT, FOR WHATEVER REASON, LET ME USE THAT AS A DEFENSE IN THIS RIGGED TRIAL. ANOTHER TERM, ADVICE OF COUNSEL DEFENSE!”

Translation: Trump’s attorneys have indeed broken the news to him that he’s very likely going to become a convicted felon tomorrow. They’ve also fed him his talking point about why the verdict is going to be so unfair.

In reality, the judge asked Trump at the beginning of this trial whether he planned to use an advice of counsel defense, and Trump declined. So that’s a very simple way of shutting down Trump’s latest BS claim. But the real upshot is that Trump is already preparing to be convicted tomorrow.
