Donald Trump throws a fit

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We knew it would happen, did we not? There are certain things in life that are inevitable. And one of them is Donald Trump lashing out at anybody who tells the truth about him. Following the breaking news( that IS NOT breaking news for Palmer Report readers), that the DOJ is investigating Trump, Trump, of course, lashed out as only a wounded traitor COULD lash out.

The lashing out, however, was merely a bunch of words, most of them being “Scam” “Russia,” and “no collusion.” And also “Democrats.” But Trump wasn’t quite done. Remarkably, he then pleaded for the Department of Justice to go after “the people that rigged and stole” the election.

This would be very difficult to do, considering those “people” only exist in Trump’s putrid brain — nowhere else. But it’s rather stunning that Trump is SO out of it, SO clueless that he asks the people who are investigating him to investigate something that never happened.

In my opinion, this shows Trump’s decline. Because way back when I am not sure even he would have gone THIS far. It’s like he doesn’t care anymore. Maybe because on some (distant) level, he hears the bell tolling — and the cell door locking.

Well, he must, right? Trump, no matter how far gone he is, no matter how big a sociopath, is terrified. We know this because he got his hands dirty calling the January 6 witness himself.

We also know this because of his increasingly bizarre behavior. Trump’s a hunted animal right now. And like hunted animals, he is frantically trying to avoid traps.

Only he can’t avoid this one. As Trump sits at Mar-a-Lago, in his flamboyant surroundings, he must hear the bell’s tolling. It is tolling on all his lies — his sins, his rage, and his crimes. When the bell tolls, one should listen. Because the bell usually cannot be unrung.

And watching Trump’s increasing desperation and puffy hubris-filled rants has a certain satisfaction as we all hear the bell as well. And as we wait for the inevitable arrival of Justice, we whisper “soon Donald. Very soon.”
