Donald Trump sure blew this one

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

One should always be careful when one speaks. After all, one never knows just who else is listening. The walls often have ears. And for Donald Trump, on the day of January 6, the walls had many ears indeed. And one pair of ears came from Pat Cipollone.

What will Pat Cipollone do? I do think we know the answer to that one. The Department of Justice has subpoenaed Cipollone. But will he tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? I believe he will. This is because Cipollone is not stupid. Being an attorney himself, he knows all about perjury. And former Watergate Prosecutor Nick Ackerman believes he will as well. And Ackerman argues this is a very real and present danger to Donald Trump.

Speaking to Ari Melber on MSNBC, Akerman said this could be for Trump “the worst day.” Think about those words. “The worst day.”

Executive privilege will not get Cipollone far with the Department of Justice. These people play hardball, and Pat surely knows that. Think for a moment what Pat Cipollone must have heard. Think of the horrors that he was witness to.

This testimony will have real consequences for Donald Trump, and not in a good way. I expect the testimony to be absolutely awful for Trump. Donald Trump made a mistake — one of many. He forgot that the walls have ears. He didn’t think about where his words might land — and who might be asked about them. And right now, it’s looking like his own words just might be his undoing.
