Donald Trump supporters fume as “Trump Bucks” turn out to be worthless

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I’ve said time and again that Donald Trump’s base isn’t relevant to election outcomes, because their votes are already locked in anyway, and they’re not a large enough group to get anyone elected on their own. But they sure do keep reminding us of just how gullible they are.

Some company decided to sell “Trump Bucks” with Donald Trump’s face on them, and even though the advertising quietly disclosed them as not being legal tender, a number of Trump supporters bought them anyway.

Forbes is reporting that because Trump was depicted on the money, some of his supporters figured it had to be of great value. One of them even thought it was Trump’s way of helping his supporters “get rich.” Some of them have even tried to cash them in at major banks, only to be turned away. For contrast, just try to imagine Biden voters seeing something like “Biden Bucks” and thinking it was real currency. It wouldn’t happen.

This story is almost too on the nose. There was an episode of The Office where Dwight Schrute tried to sell his colleagues on the idea of Schrute Bucks, but none of them were impressed. That’s right, Trump supporters are so gullible, they make even the most gullible characters on The Office seem smart in comparison.
