Donald Trump stunned into silence
Donald Trump makes Truth Social posts on an almost diarrhea of the mouth level. When he’s not busy posting one bitter all caps screed after another, he has his handlers posting whatever out of context polling data he can find that supposedly has him winning (while ignoring the polls that have him losing).
But now Trump has a problem. In the wake of his felony conviction, he’s taken a dive in the polls. It’s not a huge dive, but it’s enough of a shift that he’s now slightly behind in most polls. So yesterday afternoon Trump declared that he’s now ahead of President Biden by ten points.
That’s laughable. It’s embarrassing for Trump that as he’s falling behind, he’s delusionally trying to convince everyone (and convince himself) that he’s somehow magically running away with it all. The real kicker is that in the eighteen hours since this delusional post, Trump hasn’t posted anything.
Somewhere in Trump’s broken mind, it must be sinking in that he has indeed fallen behind. And since he can’t undo his status as a convicted felon, he has no idea how to stop his downward spiral. And so now he’s just sitting there not posting anything at all.
