Donald Trump storms out of courtroom in a huff after being humiliated on the stand
Earlier today Judge Engoron forced Donald Trump to take the stand and questioned him about a semi-incoherent reference he appeared to make about the judge’s clerk. After the judge determined that Trump’s answers were non-credible and hit him with a fine, Trump apparently didn’t take it very well.
Trump reportedly then “stormed out of the courtroom” with his handlers chasing after him, as his attorneys looked on in confusion and others gasped at what was transpiring. This goes to show just how frustrated Trump is becoming at how poorly this is all going for him.
Trump showed up to his civil trial this week for Michael Cohen’s testimony. But instead of being able to intimidate Cohen, Trump merely sat there in agitation as his handlers tried to calm him down. Then Trump’s desperate babbling led to him being forced to take the stand. And now he’s storming out like a child.
This is all going very, very poorly for Donald Trump. This isn’t a strategy on his part, it’s a tantrum. It’s what people do when everything is going wrong for them and they know they can’t do anything to stop from losing. As a reminder, Trump has already lost this trial by summary judgment. His behavior during the trial can only serve to increase the financial penalties that are coming against him.
