Donald Trump sounds scared
Donald Trump lost $83 million last week, but that’s a small sum compared to what he’s likely to lose next week in his New York civil fraud trial. That sum could be in the ballpark of $370 million, which would be enough to finish Trump off financially. Trump sounds scared.
Trump has been ranting about the upcoming verdict on his social media site, asking “Why didn’t Judge Engoron announce his decision after we proved conclusively that I DID NOTHING WRONG!!!” Well, Donald, the judge didn’t make such an announcement because you didn’t prove any such thing.
Trump is still griping about how there was “NO JURY ALLOWED” (even though he didn’t request a jury trial). He also seems to be very upset about Letitia James drinking Starbucks coffee for some reason. He’s more upset that James recently had a look on her face “JUST LIKE SHE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT THE DECISION WILL BE!” Well, yes, given that the judge summarily ruled against Trump before the trial even began, we all know what the decision will be.
Midway through his rant Trump seemed to suddenly remember that “THIS JUDGE RULED AGAINST ME BEFORE THE TRIAL EVEN STARTED.” Wait, didn’t Trump just express surprise that Letitia James seems to already know the verdict? This is so weird.
Trump then goes on to declare that the judge “KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE CASE” when he made his summary judgment, which is just hilariously clueless. The judge had the entire case, including filings from both sides, in front of him at the time he issued his summary judgment. Trump really does have no idea what’s going on in the legal proceedings against him. No wonder he’s scared. He doesn’t even know what’s going on.
