Elon Musk is feuding with Trump’s base because he wants immigrant workers for his companies and they don’t want immigrants at all. Meanwhile Trump sits there and says nothing because he’s senile, as his coalition falls apart before he can even take office.

We’ll hear contrarian hot takes about how this is all part of Trump’s master plan to let Musk take all the heat. But that doesn’t even make sense. Trump has always wanted to be the center of attention. His ongoing absence from the spotlight is proof that he has no idea what’s even going on anymore.

Trump’s babysitters have him sated for now as he watches reruns of the A-Team that he thinks are a documentary. But eventually even he’ll have to catch on that his “presidency” is being run without him. Then what? He’s too senility-dependent to fire everyone around him in a fit of dementia addled rage. But he might anyway. How long can this Weekend at Bernie’s of a presidency last?
