Donald Trump sent money to a state legislator who tried to overturn election results

In order to crack almost any political scandal, even one as over the top as Donald Trump’s attempt at overturning the 2020 presidential election, it always helps to simply follow the money.

Now it turns out Trump and his campaign paid thousands of dollars to an Arizona state legislator, right around the same time that legislator was trying to overthrow the Electoral College results in Arizona.

The legislator is claiming that the payment was merely a reimbursement for an unrelated matter, and that could well be the case. But Trump has a long and consistent history of not reimbursing people the money he owes them, so why did he choose to reimburse this guy? This warrants an investigation to determine whether this really was mere coincidence.
