Donald Trump loses appeal

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

One of the most overlooked aspects of the 2024 presidential election: if Donald Trump loses, he goes to prison. He has a sentencing hearing next month in his New York criminal trial, where he’s been convicted on thirty-four felonies. And he’s set to stand trial three more times in 2025.

Today we got a good reminder of Trump’s status as a convicted felon awaiting sentencing. The New York court of appeals just rejected Trump’s appeal of his gag order in his New York criminal case. This means Trump remains under gag order until his sentencing hearing. If he screws up and attacks the witnesses again or anything along those lines, the judge can use that as a basis for giving Trump a harsher sentence during next month’s sentencing hearing.

So yeah, Donald Trump is still on his way to prison. He’s still just as tangled up in the criminal justice system as ever. And he’s still losing. Donate
