Donald Trump just walked out on his own press conference

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Just how poorly are Donald Trump’s daily coronavirus press briefings going for him? The conservative Wall Street Journal condemned them today for being a waste. CNN is refusing to air today’s briefing, even after Mike Pence tried to blackmail the network into doing so. Perhaps sensing that things have gone bust, Trump’s head clearly wasn’t in the game today.

Donald Trump opened his press conference by bragging about an airline bailout and a phone call with Vladimir Putin, two things that no one is interested in hearing about right now. Then he took a few questions and gave tepid answers, before walking out on his own briefing and leaving Pence to mop up the mess.

Trump has done this before, of course. But we believe this sets a record for just how quickly Trump has bailed on one of his own press conferences. As everything falls apart for him, we’d say his heart just isn’t in it anymore – if he had a heart to begin with, which he does not.
