Donald Trump just threw Lindsey Graham under the bus

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Now Lindsey Graham is a “RINO.” Graham has been taking up for and licking the boots of Donald Trump for years, yet when he offers an opinion that does not agree with Trump’s, he’s a “RINO.” The people who continue to support and defend Donald Trump are nuts. He obviously has no loyalty to anyone but himself. It will be interesting to see how Graham responds. So, what is this hoopla about? Well, for one, Donald Trump is an idiot. He came up with the “brilliant” idea of pardoning rioters involved in the ransacking of the Capitol on January 6. Trump continues to show where his loyalties lie, and they are not with our country.

The thing that many fail to understand about Trump is that he is a supreme conman. He will say whatever he thinks others want to hear if it gets him what he wants. His claims that Capitol rioters were treated “unfairly” is a new shell game he is playing to win votes and nothing more. Even he does not believe the garbage he spews. Plus, he is a professional reality star who is used to playing for the cameras. Trump could care less about those idiots who ransacked the Capitol. As Newsweek pointed out, if he wanted to pardon any of them, he could have done so before he left office. Instead, he ignored the hell out of them, even as some of them begged. Newsweek also pointed out that Trump was mired in his impeachment defense and issuing pardons to rioters likely would have caused even more Republicans to vote for impeachment. As usual, Trump says what he thinks people want to hear with no consideration of the consequences, especially if it puts his hand back into the taxpayers’ coffers.

God knows I have rarely, if ever, agree with Lindsey Graham on anything, but he was correct when he called Trump’s words “inappropriate.” Honestly, they are beyond “inappropriate.” Trump shows time and again that he is little more than a traitor to our country, and the very notion that he would pardon other traitors is unconscionable. His continued use of the word “patriot” to describe the rioters makes me ill, but pretty much everything about Donald Trump makes me ill. He is so transparent with his promise to pardon them if he “runs and wins,” as he told people at his Texas rally. Those words were spoken only for their votes, and many of them are too gullible to see that they are, once again, being used for Trump’s evil, selfish purposes. As Newsweek pointed out, in his last few days in office, Trump did little other than issue pardons. Why were none given to any of these criminals? They will not be given if—God help us—he is reelected to office. Trump merely shows that he remains unfit for office. He is better suited for a seat at a defense table in federal court.
