Donald Trump just stepped in it
Donald Trump makes enough of a mess for himself when he’s out there talking incoherently about sharks and serial killers and “I do the weave.” But things get even worse for Trump when he occasionally decides to talk about policy.
The nation generally understands that Trump was primarily responsible for the collapse of Roe v. Wade and that Trump is staunchly against women’s reproductive rights. In fact it’s why right wing evangelical types support him. But then this week Trump announced that not only is he suddenly in support of IVF, he wants it to be free of cost for everyone.
After that got Trump in trouble with the evangelical types, he then turned around today and announced that he’ll be voting against the abortion rights measure in Florida. Now he’s really made a mess. In a span of two days he’s managed to alienate right wing evangelicals with his pro-IVF position, and now he’s managed to alienate everyone else with his anti-abortion position. This guy has no idea what he’s saying or doing.
