Donald Trump just lost to Letitia James AGAIN

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Ever since Donald Trump lost the 2020 election by so many millions of votes that he couldn’t even figure out how to cheat or steal another term, he’s been on a remarkable losing streak. He’s lost most of his social media accounts. He’s lost his Washington DC hotel. He’s lost many of his remaining marbles, if his incoherent public appearances are any indication. And he’s lost his relevance, given how badly his endorsed candidates are flopping.

But if there’s one overriding theme to the losing, it’s that Trump keeps managing to lose to New York Attorney General Letitia James over and over again. James keeps winning every legal ruling in her civil probe into the Trump Organization’s financial corruption โ€“ including getting Trump held in contempt of court for refusing to turn over key documents, which he ultimately caved and turned over.

Now James has won again, with the New York court of appeals ruling that Donald Trump and two of his children must testify in James’s Trump Organization probe. The Trumps have been arguing that they’d essentially be forced to testify against themselves. But the courts aren’t seeing it that way.

Trump will likely appeal this ruling, but at this point he’s close to running out of appeals โ€“ and once he does run out, James can (and surely will) have Trump and his kids held in contempt of court for refusing to testify. Then they’ll end up having to testify. And then James will drop the financial hammer on the Trump Organization โ€“ even as we wait to see whether she’s decided to add criminal charges against Trump to her civil probe.
