Donald Trump just lost AGAIN
Donald Trump is by all accounts losing the election. He’s also losing in the legal system. There are just two weeks to go before his sentencing hearing in a criminal case where he’s already been convicted of thirty-four felonies. Trump tried a last minute hail mary by asking the federal court system to take over his criminal case, which is currently in the hands of a New York state judge.
But today a federal judge ruled that the federal government has no grounds for taking the case away from the state of New York. In other words Trump has lost once again, and he’s lost in a way that didn’t delay anything at all. Trump’s sentencing hearing is still on track for September 18th.
Meanwhile Trump is supposed to be preparing for his debate with Kamala Harris on September 10th. But he’s missing from the campaign trail, raising questions about what’s going on with him. Even as the election threatens to slip away from him, so does his freedom.
