Donald Trump just keeps digging himself a deeper hole
Donald Trump already lost one trial to E. Jean Carroll, to the tune of $5 million. If he also loses this second trial to Carroll, the damages will be in addition the $5 million he already lost. Trump now seems intent on losing as badly as possible.
It’s not just that Trump is being represented in this second trial an attorney who doesn’t seem to know how trials work. It’s that during the breaks in between court proceedings, Trump keeps going out and repeating the same lies about E. Jean Carroll to reporters that landed him on trial in the first place.
Trump also keeps posting those same kinds of lies about Carroll on social media while the trial is playing out. It’s a surefire way to lose. Trump is at the point of delusion and senility where he thinks that if he keeps repeating the same false things over and over, they’ll somehow become true. Instead all he’s doing is ensuring that he’ll lose yet another trial. His criminal trials won’t go any better for him.
