Donald Trump just confessed
One good rule of thumb is that if you’re about to go on criminal trial, don’t go out and confess. But Donald Trump and his tiny hands seem to have no understanding of what a good rule of thumb is, and so he’s out there running his mouth as stupidly as possible.
Trump’s argument at trial will be that he truly did win the 2020 election, and thus any actions he took with regard to the election results were in good faith. That’s not a solid legal argument to begin with (you can’t rob the bank at gunpoint because you believe the bank cheated you). But Trump is now making it worse by confessing that he lost the election:

.
As we keep seeing, Donald Trump’s big problem is that he doesn’t even know what he’s trying to say anymore. He knows he’s supposed to stick to the script about how he won the election and it was stolen from him. But when he tries to go out and say this, his addled brain ends up confessing that he did lose. We’ll see this kind of thing used against him at trial.
