Donald Trump just can’t help himself
Donald Trump’s life is over. He has no viable path for avoiding prison. He certainly has no viable path for retaking power. His assets are being taken. His freedom is being taken. And oh by the way he’s going senile. His life, at least as he knew it, is over.
But it’s because of Trump’s senility that he doesn’t seem capable of understanding that it’s over for him. He seems convinced that he’s somehow magically winning his legal battles, even though he’s losing on every front. And each time things get uglier for him, he announces that he’s even further ahead in imaginary 2024 polls.
It’s clear that as Trump sinks further into senility, his babysitters keep feeding him increasingly rosy scenarios to try to keep him sated. To that end, Trump has now decided that he’s a lock to win in 2024. He’s also decided that the Biden economy is going to crash. And his only fear is that the crash will happen after Trump magically retakes power:

This is, in a word, nuts. It’s even more nuts that he’s saying this stuff out loud. He’s handing campaign ads to the other side every time he says something this idiotic. It’s also more clear than ever that there’s nothing left of Trump’s mind, and that he has zero connection to reality. Instead of being worried about spending the rest of his life in prison, his biggest worry is that he’s going to retake power and then… get blamed for a depression? He’s living a hallucination at this point. But that’s true of a lot of people who’ve gone fully senile.
