Donald Trump just blew his court case
Donald Trump has been telling us al along that Elon Musk was running the “DOGE” agency. But once the Democrats filed suit challenging Musk’s authority a few days ago, the Trump administration claimed in a court filing that Musk is not in charge of the agency. I predicted that this last ditch stunt would end up backfiring legally – and now I’m sure it will, because Trump just blew the case.
Once making that court filing, the Trump administration was going to have to publicly stick to the story that Musk is not in charge of DOGE. But now Donald Trump has turned around and once again publicly confirmed that Musk is in charge of DOGE. This invalidates the court filing, and will make it very easy for the judge in the case to rule against Trump.
We’ll see what happens with the ruling. But Donald Trump’s inability to stick to the script just keeps coming back to bite him.
