Everyone over the age of 12 knows you can’t start a trade war with tariffs and expect it to go well for you. Unfortunately, Donald Trump now has the psychological makeup and cognitive capacity of a two-year-old, so of course he’s going through tomorrow with massive tariffs against key US trading partners like Canada and Mexico.

What’s stunning is that Trump is flat out admitting that his tariffs are going to make a mess. He announced today that there will be some “temporary disruptions” involved with his tariff scheme.

So why is he doing it? Trump inherited the strong economy from President Joe Biden, and Trump could just ride that and try to take credit for it. Instead Trump is insisting on tanking the economy, triggering inflation, and causing shortages. All we can do is be sure to use it against him and his party. It’s like Trump is trying to hand us the midterms.
