Donald Trump Jr. loses the plot
Now that Donald Trump has installed his own daughter in law as co-chair of the Republican National Committee, we can fully expect Trump to drain the RNC of its resources and run it into the ground.
Donald Trump Jr., who doesn’t understand how anything works, seems excited by the move:
Junior says the old Republican Party is dead now that MAGA has taken over the RNC: “That Republican Party no longer exists. The moves that happened – that’s the final blow. People have to understand that MAGA is the new Republican Party. That is conservatism today.” pic.twitter.com/IummLzUb3h

.
But here’s the thing. 2024 Republican primary polling and voting is consistently showing that nearly half of Republican voters desperately want anyone other than Donald Trump to be their nominee. So Donald Trump Jr is completely off the mark when he claims that “MAGA is the new Republican Party.”
That may be true with the party itself, but it’s utterly false when it comes to the Republican voting base. Trump and the RNC are going to find that out the hard way if Trump is indeed the nominee in November.
