Donald Trump Jr just stepped in it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

In general, it’s never a good idea – politically or morally – to side with the Taliban. Unfortunately, no one in the Trump family seems to know that. Donald Trump famously invited the Taliban to Camp David. Now Donald Trump Jr. is insisting that the Taliban is “not wrong” for questioning why the U.S. government allows social media sites to “censor” people.

This is all rather circular, given that it’s people like Donald Trump, who incited an insurrection, who have been banned from social media. And of course Twitter and Facebook aren’t the government; it appears no one in the Trump family has ever taken a civics class either.

Donald Trump Jr’s tweet has brought quite a bit of backlash, including more than a thousand negative replies. Michael Cohen, who knows the Trump family all too well, tweeted this in response: “And I thought Eric Trump was the dumbest of the 3 kids…I will need to reevaluate my position going forward!”
