Donald Trump Jr just blew it
Donald Trump Jr is the classic manifestation of someone who’s too dumb to understand that he’s the dumb one – and because he can’t understand anything that’s going on around him, just presumes that everyone else is dumb.
This played out yet again on Wednesday when Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney defended the integrity of General Mark Milley. At that point a parody account pretending to be Gen. Milley responded with a rather obviously satirical tweet. Just don’t tell that to Donald Trump Jr, who retweeted it, and apparently thought it really was Milley.
The replies were brutal. “It’s a parody you halfwit,” one respondent tweeted. Another added that “Jr. doesn’t even know this is a fake account. Just like how he can’t differentiate between reality and bogus conspiracy theories.”
Perhaps Donald Trump Jr will try to claim that he knew this was a parody account when he retweeted it. But the replies reveal that quite a number of Junior’s own followers and supporters thought it was a real tweet from Gen. Milley, which probably tells you all you need to know.
